How to get
The house-museum of Can Font is located in Lloret de Mar, and is one of the most relevant visitable examples of the "Indianos" culture in Catalonia.
The origin of the house dates back to 1977, when it was commissioned by Nicolau Font i Maig to the architect Fèlix Torras i Mataró. Font had made a fortune in Jaruco (Cuba), after inheriting some sugar cane plantations from his uncle. Like many other Catalans who had made a fortune in America, Nicolau returned home and had a modernist and Indian-inspired stately home built.
Can Font was acquired by the Lloret Town Hall in 1981. Currently, the house is open to visitors and is one of the main preserved elements of the municipality's "Indianos" past.
