Calanans Lighthouse
The Calanans lighthouse is located to the south of Cadaqués, on the tip of Cala Nans.
The building was constructed by J.M. Faquinetto, who was also responsible for the Cap de Creus lighthouse, and it was inaugurated in 1864. From its foundation until the 1960s, the lighthouse was controlled by a lighthouse keeper.
Currently, the lighthouse operates automatically without the need for permanent staff. The building has managed to maintain its original structure thanks to the defense of the residents of Cadaqués.
