Can Comes beach
The Can Comes Beach is a very spacious beach stretching up to 3.9 kilometres in length, located opposite the Aiguamolls de l'Empordà Natural Park. It extends from the mouth of the Muga River to the Gola del Fluvià Beach.
Its proximity to the Aiguamolls de l'Empordà nature reserve means that certain areas of the beach enjoy special protection. The central section, approximately 2,100 metres long, forms part of the Les Llaunes Integral Nature Reserve and is permanently closed to the public in order to preserve the habitat of vulnerable species such as the Kentish plover.
