San Sebastian lighthouse
The Sant Sebastià lighthouse is located in the town of Llafranc.
This iconic building, built in the mid-19th century, stands 169 metres above the sea, and its location gives it the privilege of having one of the best panoramic views of the Costa Brava. The lighthouse forms part of the Monumental Site of Sant Sebastià de la Guarda, which also includes the Iberian settlement dating from the 5th to 1st centuries BC, which is currently on display in a museum for visitors.
In the same complex there is also a hermitage, an inn and a watchtower dating back to the 15th century, used to warn of the possible arrival of pirates and corsairs.
