Tower of Sant Sebastià
The Sant Sebastià Tower is part of the Monumental Complex of Sant Sebastià de la Guarda, a place of enormous landscape and historical value located within the municipality of Llafranc.
Its origin dates back to the 15th century. In a context where the Costa Brava was threatened by pirate raids, the Sant Sebastià Tower was one of the main watchtowers in the area. From the tower, the nearby inhabitants were warned to take refuge in the walled enclosure of Palafrugell or in fortified buildings nearby.
Later on, the building underwent a series of renovations and was converted into a signaling tower.
Currently, the tower can be visited within regulated hours, and it offers incredible views of the coastline.
