Moll Grec beach

The Moll Grec beach is well known in the area of l'Escala. Its name comes from the quay built more than two thousand years ago by the Greek settlers in the area. It was the port of the settlement of Empúries, and for a long time it was the gateway to the Iberian Peninsula for the Greek and Roman civilisations. At the other end of the beach is the town of Sant Martí d'Empúries, which has a medieval ensemble that is highly recommendable to visit. Without a doubt, the Moll Grec beach is located in the middle of a historic area of the first order.

It is a beach of fine sand and is very easy to access on foot or by car. It is usually very busy and has a wide range of services such as a bar area, toilets and showers, lifeguard and the possibility of renting sun loungers and boats. It is also good for anchoring and water sports. It is also accessible for people with reduced mobility thanks to the access walkways.
