Tower of the Plaza de la Torre
The Torre de la plaça de la Torre is located in the historic center of the municipality of Llançà. The complex consists of a truncated cone tower and two attached bodies.
Its origin dates back to the 17th century. In 1643, Pere Mestre Feliu promoted its construction with the intention of using it as a windmill. Due to the needs of the time, it was also given a complementary use as a watchtower for defensive tasks against pirate incursions.
At the end of the 17th century, the tower changed hands and was converted into a dwelling. Restoration work has been carried out to recover its structure.
