Platja Gran beach
Platja Gran is the main beach in Portbou, and is located right in the town centre, next to the port. This location and its good communications mean that it normally has a high level of occupation, especially by families. It is mainly made up of fine sand and pebbles, and stretches for about 180 metres.
This spot has numerous services for visitors, including bars, restaurants, showers, toilets and lifeguard service. It is very suitable for visiting with children and also for practising water sports. It is also worth mentioning that it is a cardio-protected beach and is adapted for people with reduced mobility.
Portbou's Platja Gran beach, has been awarded the Environmental Quality label.
